The iCampus, also known as the Electronics and Microsensor Technology Innovation Campus, aims to establish itself as a regional sensor technology hub. It acts as a focal point for R&D projects as well as technology transfer in the field of sensor technology to the local economy. This project consists of mainly six partners in the science industry: two Leibniz Institutes, two Fraunhofer Institutes, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Medical University of Lusatia Carl Thiem (MUL-CT, formerly Thiem Research GmbH).
VEINLAND GmbH is proud to be one of the companies contributing to this project as a project partner. iCampus combines theory and practice and enables VEINLAND to continuously develop and expand its product portfolio. One of its well-known products is the performance monitoring system for collecting ship data and analysing fuel consumption.
VEINLAND has been actively involved in the project since the end of 2023 by taking part in networking events, giving keynote speeches at webinars and meeting regularly with the project partners. VEINLAND works particularly closely with the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP) in Frankfurt (Oder). The project is led by Prof. Dr. Harald Schenk and co-led by Innovation Manager Priv. Doz. Dr. Christine Ruffert and Transfer Manager Dr. Michael Scholles.
