New BAM (Bridge Alert Management) test standards came into force since August 2021. Besides carrying and maintaining its Wheel Mark Certification, VEINLAND-BNWAS also fulfills all requirements implemented under the BAM concept introduced by IMO. Hence VL-BNWAS can now be installed on all SOLAS ships.

All new-installed NAV-COM equipment have to be compliant BAM test standards.

Defined by the EU MED (Marine Equipment Directive), BAM imposes requirements on equipment which generates, manages and presents alerts on the bridge. IEC 62923-1/-2 standards outline the operational and performance requirements, including test methods and results for BAM besides the reduction of different alert identifiers.
