Veinland BNWAS Can Now Be Used on All British-Flagged Vessels

We are pleased to announce that Veinland BNWAS can now also be installed on all UK-flagged vessels. Having successfully passed all requirements and quality tests, VL-BNWAS retains its Wheel Mark (EU MED B+D) approval and is now conforms to the Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations 2016 (MER, UK).

Both certificates are issued by DNV UK Ltd., London (Approval Body No. 0097) and DNV Hamburg (Notified Body No. 0098) respectively.

By carrying the “Red Ensign” logo in addition to Wheel Mark, VL-BNWAS and all its components can be fitted on all British-flagged vessels, ranging from BNWAS central units, reset buttons, alarm panels, buzzers to motion sensors, both indoor and outdoor.

*A Red Ensign UK Conformity is required for newly manufactured marine safety equipment since 01.01.2023 and this falls under the regulations of the Maritime & Costguard Agency (MCA) MSN 1874.
